Redhat 8.0 不能进入桌面环境？

我现在也遇到同样的问题，就是输入startx后显示上面信息，进不了x win。
但我的版本是rh8.0的（南北兄的方法不适用），怎么办？

不要引用别人的错误信息，我感觉是不一样的，因为上面的错误信息是出在内核上，可能他用的NVIDIA的驱动，但NVIDIA的驱动可能办法支持smp内核，事实上上面的例子却是用的smp的内核。smp内核是用的对称处理器上。不适合PC机。

最好能把详细的信息说一下。

把/tmp目录的内容清空来试一试

看一下/var/log/XFree8.0.log
中的内容就行了

我觉得错误是104的都跟显卡或驱动没有关系的,

我自己也遇过,,是不是xfs关掉了???

我两次碰到这情况,一次是改umask,奇怪这个也有关系

一个是关掉xfs服务!

我把不同于上面我的都改了  似乎大同小异啊。
还有，怎么清空/tmp?
怎么关掉xfs服务？
看一下/var/log/XFree8.0.log这个内容后又该干什么？

几天前我也遇到过这样的问题，没有重装linux

可以在文本模式下重新 X 设置命令,多然后按照提示就OK了！

我也碰到过XFree86无法启动的问题。好像重新配置一下就行了。在redhat中，命令应该是：redhat-config-xfree86。

1)  /etc/X11/xf86config 这个文件内容好多好多 我怎么贴上来啊   大哥能不能具体一点说说贴哪部分？

2)另外我在#xf86config重设了一次（胡乱搞的  不是全都清楚该怎么设）然后强行删了/tmp  还是不行  出现一下信息：
fatal server error:
could not creat lock file in /tmp .txo-lock

x init:no such file or directory(erro 2):unable to connect to x server.

就是这些了 是不是删错东东了？

3）怎么我在超级用户下输入redhat-config-xfree86等了一下后就出现乱码的？

还有其他什么关掉xfs  改umask我不懂搞啊  能不能说具体点？:confused:

不好意思 忘了说一些信息了  
我装的是光盘版的 直接从光驱安装

我的显示器是 飞利浦10f4（没驱动  ）
显卡是内置的  它的驱动是sis740的驱动程序

之所以显示的是乱码，是因为你当前的终端不支持中文。装个zhcon之类的软件就可以显示和使用中文了，不过为了配置X而去装那个软件太麻烦了，在中文看不清楚的情况下也可以完成配置啊。
