我不太懂gentoo的启动，我是放在.bashrc中定义，不加载flash插件，加flash插件需要在全局的gnome.sh中定义xorg一个变量或者用户目录下定义，我现在忘了具体的了。xorg改变了不少的东西，所以有些兼容性的问题。
你关闭flash试试，如果问题不再发生，你就应该知道你的问题是什么导致的了吧。

Ok, but why you complain scim more than flash? If the problem is caused by flash, how can james do with it?
If there is no way to co-exist two applicaiont IN YOUR SYSTEM, wipe one out, that's the best answer.
No choice is better that too much choice.

问题是 flash 不开源。我没办法解决问题呀。只有 macromedia 的人能够拿到 scim 和 flash 的源代码，才有可能解决问题。

看你们讨论了这么长时间，问题还是没有解决，但我这里出现的情况是如果直接使用firefox加载带flash比较多的网页，会出现浏览器不响应的情况，后来我在firefox的启动脚本中加入一行：
export MOZ_ENABLE_PANGO=1
就没问题了。试试看，你那里行不行？
