I can't find Simplified Chinese in KDE Control Center -> Regional & Accessbility -> Country/Region & Language. There is only English. Is that because of the lack of KDE i18n ? How can I install it? Thanks.
This paper makes me a little confuse. Because last time when I install LFS, I installed KDE i18n. And in other distribution of Linux there is also i18n installed. But in this paper you didn't mention that. Does that means Gentoo doesn't need i18n? Or we just install some fonts and input method to read and write Chinese while using English Gentoo?
According to my understanding, Gentoo doesn't need i18n. You just install Chinese fonts, setup font path or/and fonts.dir/fonts.scale, and set your LC_ environment variables. That's it.
