emacs+scim+utf8有没有人搞定

翻遍了所有的帖子，似乎这个问题没有解决？
emacs22.0.50或者21.4
scim-1.0.2或者1.1.3
scim-chinese-0.4.2或者scim-pinyin-0.5.0
在zh_CN.GBK下好好的，但是换到zh_CN.UTF-8时候就无法呼出scim

今天发现情况更加奇怪，只有在gnome下的非gtk程序，例如xpdf、mlterm以及emacs无法呼出输入法（包括fcitx）

而在其他的，比方说windowmaker里就正常。

me too ! 郁闷啊
我的scim在gnome下也是无法呼出,只有在命名文件时才可以在右键菜单中选定使用
如果在控制台中启用的话,就会出错:gnome  panel  崩溃
LOCALE:  LC_ALL=zh_CN.UTF-8
哪位写一下scim在gnome下如何设置,不胜感激
