Mandrakelinux 10 Community显示中文粗体的问题

为了让Mandrakelinux 10 Community能够显示中文粗体，在/etc/fonts/fonts.conf中添加下面几行：

<match target="pattern">
    <test qual="any" name="family" compare="eq">
          <string>SimSun</string>
    </test>
    <edit name="family" mode="prepend_first" binding="strong">
          <string>Tahoma</string>
    </edit>
</match>
...
重启KDE，进入后发现中文全变成方块了。注释掉上面的代码，恢复正常。而在GNOME下则无任何问题，郁闷。。。
哪位道友能解决这个问题，使其显示中文粗体？
