/dev/dsp为什么设备？

我在装了论坛的mplayer后机器能发出声音，但接着装xmms后机器不能发出声音。且在启动mplayer的时候显示"device /dev/dsp can't be opened (Resourde temporatily unavailable) The sound will continue,using the null output divice"
开机的时候显示"device /dev/dsp can't be opened (no such device) The sound will continue,using the null output divice"
是什么回事啊？但听CD有声音。现在mplayer和xmms都不能用了。

然后打XMMS的补丁给XMMS。在下载里面有。
