intel gma500用什么驱动？

刚刚买了一个小本，显卡是gma500，装什么驱动？xf86-video-intel
好像不行，进X只能用vesa，郁

记得COMPAL公司的MID设备用的是你说的这种显卡。
现在好像只能用vesa

我的小本是acer 751h，cpu是atom z520，这的确是一个mid平台的cpu，戴尔的mini12也是这个显卡。
用vesa的话，cpu占有率很高，是本来就该如此还是我配置有问题？

vesa 也没什么不好的。再说了，小本上，还想打 StarCraft2？

到是没有什么需求，就是平时看个文献就好了，电影都可以不看的，但是在默认的twm里，鼠标在不同的窗口之间移动时cpu也要上50%左右，这个感觉崩溃了……而且宽屏分辨率还没调出来……还是希望图形界面舒服一点，有个心情好的工作环境，慢慢折腾折腾再说吧

GMA500 原来不是 Intel 的芯片，Intel 只是打上了自己的标签而已。传言将会有开源驱动。此事在 Intel 内部倒也有争议。

The GMA500 is not really an Intel chip, it's a PowerVR core glued onto one.  Fairly sure it's not the same thing as the 'vermilion' driver we've got, but hard to say without PCI IDs.  Sensible open source support is rumored to be forthcoming though.

The whole story here is something along the lines of one side of Intel deciding that Linux was a good way to ship cheap low-wattage machines, and thus making a cheap low-wattage machine without concern for silly little matters like whether they could release open drivers for it at the time it shipped (or ever, really).  Meanwhile the other side of
Intel - the side that understands what open source is and how it works - is left totally out of the product planning loop, so doesn't get the chance to point out that this is perhaps not the best idea.

从网上找到了xf86-video-psb，似乎是给poulsbo用的，但是编译不成功，说是少什么.h文件的，我想可能是有些别的依赖的包吧，在网上搜到的vari P 和mini 12装linux的帖子都是说ubuntu的，似乎要装好几个包，搞不清楚，于是放弃……

Ubuntu Hardy (8.04) 下有这个驱动包，名字叫xserver-xorg-video-psb，是从Moblin的xf86-video-psb编译过来的。
奇怪的是，目前最新的Jaunty-Jackalope （9.04）下反倒没有这个包。
手头有一个机器就是Poulsbo的，但是，架构用的是lpia，不能通用，而且，我要用的Arch Linux是i686优化的，就算是x86的编译后文件，直接Copy过去也是没有用的。
Arch这么追新的系统，居然没有psb的包，AUR里也没有。
从Hardy的源里下载Source Code过来，编译的时候少xf86mm.h，不知道这个文件是属于哪个包的，pacman -Qo只能查找已经安装的包，而pacman -S没有子命令是可以直接查包中文件的。
Debian系统下倒有一个apt-file，Arch下不知道有没有。
暂时没有办法了。

没有大概是因为不支持xorg-server1.6，你自己不能修改拿过来也没用
