本周令人振奋的期待－－CentOS 5.2 、 wine 1.0

1.  CentOS 5.2 到6月14日，所有的packages编译完毕，完整的发行版将于本周放出，这与官方预期的时间：14日推迟了一星期，但其中有许多前卫的更新仍然让我们觉得值得期待，如：Evolution 2.12.3  Firefox 3  OpenOffice 2.3.0   Thunderbird 2.0 。没准明天就放出了。原文：A short update on the release of CentOS 5.2. We are currently in the progress of doing QA testing. All packages have been build. The current plan is to be able to finish all QA test this week so we might be able to release 5.2 next weekend or in the days after it.

As always, these are just indications. It will be ready when it is ready. But we are trying our best and we know that you are waiting for it :-)

      2. Wine 1.0 跳票后 新的发布时间已定

Wine 是一个在 Windows 和 Unix 上执行的 Windows 应用程序接口 ，也可以认为Wine是一个 Windows 兼容层。据了解 Wine 1.0 正式版式发布后，大约有1,300 个 Windows 的应用程序可以通过 Wine 1.0 安装并运行，包括 MS Office、Internet Explorer、Adobe Photoshop CS2、Age of Empires III、Half-Life 2、Adobe Dreamweaver等等。1993年的6月2日，Dan Dulitz 宣布了 Wine 工程的开始，至今已过了15年。Wine 按照两周一个0.0.01版本的缓慢速度向前推进。Alexandre Julliard 到解释 Wine 的进展速度缓慢是来自各方面的原因，Widows 的 API 相当的宠大，并且这方面的资料还不是太开放。起初 Wine 仅仅是为了能让Win3.1运行在Linux上。不过这么多年过去了，Microsoft Windows 非常迅速的发展，技术也越来越复杂，以致于Wine工程一直没能紧跟住Windows的步伐。"

我个人觉得CentOS是最令人亲切的GNU/Linux发行版本，其实还不如说它是我对它最亲切的发行版本，它让我能在我的古董机器上更高效的工作（对比与windows）,从而也为我节约了升级电脑的开支，提高效率又降低成本的是谁不喜欢？再加上易于管理的操作令人倍感亲切。推荐大家一试，另外欢迎访问我的个人blog:      ymmtd.blog.163.com ,期待着与大家的共同进步。

等 Centos 5.2出来，把5.1升级一下，哈哈
