无法用root登陆KDE4， 提示“kstartupconfig4”错误 （紧急求助）

新装Arch，直接安装KDE4成功，确实效果震撼！
但是出现了一个新问题，用普通的用户可以登陆KDE4，一切正常。但是root用户kdm登陆，立刻弹出一个窗口提示“Could not start kstartupconfig4. Check your installation”.

附：KDE4似乎缺省不允许root登陆，修改kdmrc文件中的AllowRootLogin后即可使用root登陆

Google了整个互联网，发现很多人有这个问题，但目前似乎没有什么特别好的解决方案。

请问大家有无碰到这个问题，如何解决？快急疯了......

对此问题最新研究成果：

新装系统安装kde4, root无法登陆进取kde

从3.5.8升级上去的，root可以登陆进去无任何问题

最新的KDE4，SVN可以用root登入了。。
如果用kdemod的，自己建立一个用户登入吧，也不麻烦的。再安装KDE3，太浪费时间

大概　93行

kstartupconfig4

    #exit 1
fi

注释掉exit 1即可。

我也遇到与 LZ 同样的问题，按楼上说的做了，还是出现同样的问题！

如果/tmp 和 /var/tmp 的权限不对，或帐户的根目录权限不对，会出现

kstartupconfig4 does not exist or fails. The error code is 1(/3). Check your installation

解决方法是:
sudo chmod 1777 /tmp /var/tmp
sudo chown -R username:usergroup ~
