where 's the make ?

I have just installed the ubuntu,but there's no "make tool" along with my system,
now I cann't install any software,but I cann't find the tool in the internet,please help me and tell me ,where I can download the "make tool"?
In emergency!
maybe I will uninstall my ubuntu now and take the federo instead.
