編譯usb到內核的問題. 請指教.

各位大大, 小弟近日發現一個2.4.x的內核問題, 請教各位一下的.
我把usb功能編譯到內核後, 當系統啟動時, dmesg是找不到任何usb設備的. 但當usb編譯成模組時, dmesg就可以找到ehci及uhci了, 那usb應該是編進內核內還是編成模組呢?

我一般弄到内核中去，因为老要用USB。

Ignoring what dmesg says, if you can use your USB devices without trouble, then it does not matter. On the contrary, if you cannot use your USB devices, then this kernel is not useful.

In general, to compile into kernel or into modules is always under debate.  For me, I have a USB HDD and I need the mkinitrd tools to work under Debian, so I compile the USB supports as modules.
