有没有谁用过reiserfs4progs呢？

I don't think you need reiser4 support from GRUB. What I'm doing is using a stand alone ext2 partition as /boot partition and installing GRUB and kernel images on it. So you can use any type of file system as long as your kernel supports it. It doesn't really matter weather GRUB supports it or not. File system where your kernel resides is all GRUB needs to suport.

Plese correct me if my understanding is wrong.

有些错误，后来人说吧，我说不好，更不大清楚

reiser4progs我下载了两个版本，libaal最新的，uuid也有～
可都make错误，无法编译成功 (libaal可以）

Gentoo: gcc3.2.3
Debian：gcc3.3  gcc3.2

reiser4progs,libaal,我都已经成功的安装了，而且已经都加了stand-alone的选项，两个软件包都有，我看了一下/usr/lib/里面已经有了libaal-alone,libreiser4-alone,。。。。等等这些库文件。但是在已经打了补丁的grub-0.93里面就是无法configure到reiser4的支持。我看了一下grub-0.93/stage2里面的Makefile就是没有reiser4的支持。在grub-0.93的configure.in里面看了一下，发现里面是设了一些条件，如果不满足，那么就将
enable-reiser4-support=no,默认是enable-reiser4-support=yes.
所以比较郁闷的说。
sd44，我的系统都是最新的。
LFS :gcc-3.3.1,glibc-2.3.2,kernel:2.6.0-test5

这跟/boot这个目录或者是分区是什么类型的分区格式好像是无关的。我说的是主要指，grub所支持的分区格式，而不是grub安装在什么样的分区格式里面。
我们在/boot/grub目录里面有一些分区格式的支持文件，如ext2,reiserfs，等等。现在我是已经可以到了grub的选项选择里面，只是grub已经选定了该选项，但是无法进入这个选项所指定的分区里面。如reiser4里面，再去读取里面的启动文件，如内核的vmlinuz。

你把kernel image也放在/boot下面不就行了，我看不出来这样还有什么必要要求grub一定要支持reiser4。一旦grub找到kernel image并把他load到内存交出控制权，grub的使命就算完成了。

呵呵，我怎么没有想到呢？这倒是一个办法呢！
谢谢回头到宿舍里试一试。

以前都是将kernel image放在了主系统分区里面了。

对了，但是这样就要/boot分区是一个独立的了。
比如这样我有/dev/hda1    LFS1   reiserfs  /boot所在
            /dev/hda6    LFS2   reiser4
grub 读取/dev/hda1 下面的/boot里面的配置文件，这样我如果将LFS2的kernel image 放在了/boot （也就是/dev/hda1）里面的话，那么grub要怎么去转到/dev/hda6呢？menu.lst关于/dev/hda6的配置要怎么写呢？

呵呵，我也是这样的设置，但是不行。
虽然可以启动到了mount dev之前，之后就不行了，出现了flushing ....之类的错误。
