I do not understand why you have the ideas to install a Chinese input method under a Japanese or German system.  What's the point?

I know I am not the right person to answer your question because I am not good at Chinese input method.  However, my Chinese system is installed from an English environment and it just works fine.  I believe you should be able to figure it out.;)

The Japanese system is a cjk system. I installed it because I want to test if fcitx worked in a cjk but not chinese system. Also it means that xim could be set the default when it is cjk system.

And the reason for German... Because I study German these days, I try to make a German environment for myself.

I use SCIM and I have an English enviorment. I believe it works in de_DE.utf8 too. Not sure about fcitx though.

IMO, there is no language difference to Linux. You just have to set the right locale and you are there. The main differences would be the keyboard layout and the words in the menu.

前者的kde不是人能用的
后者的kde不是人也能用的
