but I tried several times, no luck! I could not even configure my network connecting --- there was no choice for me to set up my network, I only saw some strange hint (something similiar ?) files, or did I miss something .....

使用express安装，这样你可自己一步一步设置好再安装， standard安装你一不小心要重来！

I used "express" installation method, but still cannot configure my network --- I was always led to configure the PPP or SLIP or something like that, but what I want is to setup my ethnet card with a static ip address (like 192.168.1.3) and through my router to go out, because I'm using a router connecting to the internet ... any idea ? thanks.

这里你要设置一个固定IP，可以！当设置到network时，你选择你的ethnet card , 然后就可配置了！当然你的以太网卡不能认出来那就是另一回事了！

FTP安装需要一个比较稳定的网络连接！

请大家帮帮忙，我装4.8的时候没有询问要账号和密码，能认得出我的网卡，但不能上网。

是不是要一个不需要账号和密码的连接才能从网络安装。
