我記得 kernel /vmlinux root=/dev/ram 需要指定root
貌似這樣........

其實不需要編輯 menu.list
在grub啟動畫面下 按c

root (hd0,5) #核心所在分區
kernel /vmlinux root=/dev/ram #核心所在位置及啟動參數
initrd /initrd.img #initrd所在位置
boot #啟動核心

另外... kde4的穩定性怎麽樣... 我想等到rc版本再去試試

0.8不需要指定root
进去后记得先mkdir /archCD
mount /dev/sdax /archCD (sdax 为iso  所在分区）
mount －o loop －t 9660iso ／archCD／arch＊iso ／src
／arch－setup
（记得好像是如此）

终于刻盘成功，从光盘启动安装。base装完后好像没办法进入xwindow。我用的是current，想装其他程序，结果问题到一个文件就卡住了，晕掉。

曾按上面mount过，结果提示要指定filetpye。晕。。。我是新手啊

pacman -S xorg-server gdm
再装显卡驱动，啥显卡？一般卡pacman －S xf86－video－vesa
把kubuntu的xorg。conf拷到／etc／X11／
／etc／rc。d／gdm start

my laptop is Dell 640n. I install the packages and still can log in xwindow. There is no gdm or kdm in the current.iso
I use wifi to access the internet, but i don't know how to configure it. Can I log in xwindow and configure the net section follow up after I install all packages in the current.iso? However, my burned disc always turn wrong while unpacking some files. Maybe i have to try install through harddisc again. I just looked through the wiki. Hopefully, it works this time.

I installed archlinux on a defferent partition and the grub on MRB. I tried to edit grub to relog the original Kubuntu, but failed, because the grub is not editable this time. Is it becuse I share the /swan and /home with Kubuntu?

laptop上沒有網卡麽?? archbase好像不支持無線網絡

(還好當初是從slackware轉過來的... 不用補基礎 少了很多麻煩...)

共享swap和home是没有问题的，要引导回kubuntu直接编辑/boot/grub/menu.list就可以吧

Finally, I reinstalled Kubuntu. 25minutes, and all thinks done.

I edited menu.list, but grub can only boot from (hd0,1) which the archlinux belonged to.When I tried to boot from Kubuntu, it informed missing the direction or files. So i edited the grub. but the only commander i can use is "root".  I could not use "find", "setup", and even the "quit".

If archlinux do not support wireless initiallly, then i think it's ok to abandon it.

boot #启动核心

说的还不够明白???
只要你的ubuntu 的核心和安装分区没破坏 管它什么menu.list 照样启动...
可以用chroot 的方式在其他linux下安装arch 置顶精华里面 有!!!
