At the first time , I installed a Chinese system and gnome x-window, fcitx is installed and set up easily very much.
At the second time, I installed an English system and kde x-window, then troublu came. I could install fcitx, and it ran. But when I pressed the ctrl + space , the fcitx wasnt actived, the charactors of Pinyin is gray for ever. I dont know what I should do. I tried to fix it up. First, I set the locale to chinese by export command, and also I reran the fcitx, nothing changed. Second, except changing the locale, I set the type of xim input in qt3 configure file to "over the spot". Nothing changed too. I check this problem in the bbs of linuxsir.cn, and found no more text about this. Also I find the solution in kde.org. I found a chapter in the mail lists, it said xim input isnt the default in non-cjk system. It meand when we set the system xim input to fcitx, but fcitx wasnt the current input in a non-cjk system. I am tired about it, and found no solution to issue.
For the reason above, I tried to install a Japanese system at the third time, fcitx worked.
But now, I am using a German system, I could only writesome Latin letters here.
Could you help me? |
