intended to install using the latest unofficial network installation CDROM image, and I had it ready. But, I took the wrong CDROM with me to the office (where I did the installation) and ended up using the current Stable version. The Stable installer comes with a 2.6.8 kernel which does not support SATA drives. So you have to boot to the 2.4 kernel and then upgrade to a 2.6 kernel later. Also, you need to have a hard-wired network connection for the network install. The wireless won't work for installation...actually the wireless doesn't work for me at all yet. But more on that later.
