Today ,I install gnomemeeting ,a tool like netmeeting , and succeed to talk with my girl friend who use netmeeting under windows.
It looks very cool, :cool:
My system :
debian 3.0 woody(testing), kde3 ,gnome2
You can get the newest version at
http://www,gnomemeeting.org
There provide different distributions including debian package(three).
Before your install,you should read the readme.
Firstly ,you should install gnome2
then install the three deb package,perhaps during the install,there will some mistakes,don't worry ,you can add the unstable source to your source.list,
apt-get update
then try again .
The command :apt-get  -f install
is very useful.
How to contact your friend :
auto register the ILS: ils.seconix.com
click the ILS iron,then you can see yourself information, give the ils.seconix .com to your friend ,and he can see you and call to you.
I feel the voice is very clear and just like under windows ,and you can choose different audio code.

在我的机子里看不到图像，可以呼叫netmeeting，可是好像传送不过去。当你呼叫的时候，netmeeting可以检 测到有 incoming call。但是图像什么的都 传不过去。

那就请兄弟研究研究了，因为我不用这个，也谈不上会。请用的弟兄多多研究。这个可能是适用GNOME的。

我用它来语音聊天，其它的没试过，因为没有摄像头。

我试过用gnomemeeting和windows 2000 下的通话。可是对方听不见。只能连上。请问楼上的兄弟 是怎么用的？

不能双方听到还叫语音聊天吗？
下载最新的gnomemeeting，装上后，把你的目录服务器名告诉他，应该有一个默认的服务器，就用这个，大家都登入这个服务器，这时你可能看不到他，而他看得到你，让他呼你，就行了。
不过，听不到有可能是网路问题或声卡问题，在windows下我的网络会议还有时能用有时有不能用，看你运气，不过能用的话声音很不错。
