首先你要确保安装了vmware的驱动xf86-video-vmware，并且保证每次emerge xorg-server之后要重新emerge xf86-video-vmware。
其次，启用hal吧
rc-update add hald default
当然，首先你得确认你的gentoo实在虚拟机里，而不是你在gentoo里安装虚拟机。

说是地址分割故障 不过我不知道怎么解决

segmentation fault 不是“地址分割错误”。你这个是比较严重的问题了。没在vmware里面装过gentoo，帮不了你了。

段错误？试试 revdep-rebuild, 重新安装 xorg。

呃。。。最好不要只从字面意思去理解计算机词汇。要知道大部分计算机词汇的译者中文都不是很好。
