xorg-server 1.6以后不用freetype?

起因我是读的一篇滞后文章中说到要到freetype, 所以就pacman 并在xorg.conf 中加入了load module, 但是log却出了错,当我看到上面的内容时想pacman -Run 时,有很多xorg的文件与它依赖. 后来发现,我的firefly sung字体却变漂亮了(心理原因?), 才产生了这样的问题.
我也没有找到xorg的changelog, 请问大家, 是不用安装吗?

freetype不是freetype2

我感觉是和gtk1和gtk2分别有关，以前gtk1或者X好像无法使用矢量字体
