t61 fedora10 3d效果怎么能打开

我启动 desktop effects 失败
我安装 kmod-nvidia了也不行
compiz也安装了‘
启动的时候能看到nvidia的大图标
Xorg.0.log 上面有

不太明白。
请问怎么样操作，哪位能给个过程？

看看是不是
direct rendering: Yes

NVIDIA的显卡，自己下载NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.x-pkg1.run最新（目前是beta版）驱动安装上，效果不错。
（截止目前，最新版是180.22）

根据你的指点，我下载  NVIDIA-linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run，退出Xserver安装后，xserver无法启动，提示找不到screen
真不知道t61用那个驱动了

安装失败，我只好山出了xorg.conf再登录 xserver
可是发现smplayer无法播放avi了，重装了也不行,(修改了vedio输出到X11，好了)
realplayer不能播放rmvb,但是重装了以后好了

是驱动选择，我选择比较老的177.68 安装以后，可以了

我跟你同样的机器，都是fedora 10, 我尝试过多种方法一般来讲，这样就可以：
装系统
init 3安装从nvidia下载下来的最新显卡驱动（现在貌似64位的稳定版应该仍然是177.82，我没敢用180.22,看你的描述看来不太好）
重启机器更新kmod-nvidia
然后安装compiz 和 emerald
然后安装ccsm
设置开机自动运行 compiz fusion icon
重启
安装之后，你要确保system->preference->look and feel->GL Desktop能够正常运行
然后你可以打开compiz设定各种特效，用emerald导入新的桌面主题
然后去desktop effect打开桌面特效。
