如果etch ——> testing

这个问题不知道搜索什么好～

etch upgrade成 testing 需要注意什么没有？会不会有什么后遗症阿？


比如：   
昨天安装etch4.0r1，只装了base system

1. 
   
2. 装完改成testing的源
   
3. 安装  build-essential
   
4. 再装linux-headers-2.6.18-5.486  的时候 发现testing没有这个headers
   
5. 
   
6. 于是换回etch 的源安装了 headers
   
7. 
   
8. 然后  装显卡驱动就会出问题～
   
9. gcc需要4.1而现在的是4.2什么的～～
   
10. 忽略，继续编译，最后出错

后来重装（。。。只会重装）
一直用etch 的源，装 build ,headers
然后装显卡，没问题了

如果现在改 testing的源 upgrade
会不会再出现类似情况？

或者最好就是升级内核？ dist-upgrade

最好不要混源使用，没有2.6.18的header你不会装个2.6.22的kernel吗？还非要回到stable的源？

呵呵，，，那时候没想那么多 。。。

等今晚月黑风高了，没人抢我速度了就  dist-upgrade 到 testing

dist-upgrade  over.

升级完重启
预料之中，进不了X
重新装驱动，发现没装 headers  ，补上。

驱动编译OK，可是显示 “done” 后 跳出

ERROR: File '/usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so' is not a symbolic link.
（又是glx ???????????    ）
然后是什么 warnning.
不过 sudo nvidia-xconfig 后 顺利 startx 了
别的程序都还正常。。。。

那个错误有人解释一下吗？

对了，感觉程序第一次启动有点慢，再开就快了，，，，不解

2. Had the same problem here.
3. Running Edgy with the Nvidia drivers (9745) installed from Nvidia - not from the repos.
4. A re-install of the drivers fixed the problem and I am back to normal.
5. But during the re-install,
6. the script complained that /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so "was not a symbolic link".
7. Everything went OK after that so I check the file now
8. and it is in fact a sym-link to the Nvidia version of that file: libglx.so.1.0.9755 in my case.
10. Bottom line is that I'm 95% sure that a re-install is not necessary,
11. just fixing that sym-link would have solved it.
