初学者关于Debian连internet的问题.

我才学习Debian没几天,装了Sarge版本,急着想看桌面系统.
昨天设置好pppoe拨号.用/etc/ppp/ppp_on_boot.dsl拨号,ifconfig里看到本地IP是127.0.0.1,PPP0 的IP地址是61.*.*.*.(公网), 24-24-24-24,MASK:255.255.255.255.

然后我在soureces.list里写入 deb http://ftp.us.debian.org testing......

打apt-get update
,一直是 404 not found..
无法更新.
怎么回事?
是不是没连到互联网上.
那要怎样才表示自己的系统已经成功连到Internet了呢?

你的mask是255.255.255.255? 你的网关是什么？

命令是什么?
是不是也需要"route del default
route add default ppp0"

打route -n命令
发现Destination 24.24.24.24 Gateway 0.0.0.0 MASK 255.255.255.255
Destination 0.0.0.0 Gateway 24.24.24.24 MASK0.0.0.0

怎么会这样啊 ?

应该是连到网上了,因为我旁边一台装XP的台式机上显示服务器IP地址24.24.24.24
客户端IP地址是61.173*.*.
看来装debian的本本已经拨号成功,但是为什么会没网关呢?
