When you are getting more and more familiar with Linux, you may have chances to install various distributions, e.g. Debian, Gentoo, LFS etc in the same hard disk but different slices. In that case, it is also a good idea to have a separate /home partition so that your personal data could be shared by all distributions. Also, you may keep your data if you remove one of the distributions. |
