VMware is just for Windows 98(or other Windows OS);
After installing Win98, you can install any program that work only in windows OS.
But if you DONOT install Win98, you cannot install any program that work only in windows OS.
Is that right?

This is partially correct if you replace the word 'vmware' with 'win4lin'. Actually you may only install windows up to ME with win4lin (only dos based ones, that is).
On the other hand, you can install many kinds of operating systems with vmware.

Maybe I express my idea wrongly
I mean that if I want to install a software (e.g. Kingsoft CiBa) which works only in Windows OS, I must install firstly Windows OS with WMware (or other Virtual Software), then I can install Kingsoft CiBa in the Windows OS by WMware.
BTW, my Linux supports display of Chinese but doesnot support input of Chinese.

不错，你得先用vmware装个windows，然后再装那些程序。但也不是所有windows程序可以在vmware里运行的好，比如3d游戏可能就不大行了，普通的程序是没问题的。另外有些程序可以通过wine直接在linux下运行。
