slackware10已安装完成，还有一些中文问题请教大家

slackware10完全安装，中文化如下
1. 修改/etc/profile.d/lang.sh, change "en_US" to "zh_CN".
2. 创建/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype文件夹，将win98下的simsun.tff复制到这个目录
3. /usr/X11R6/bin/mkfontscale /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype/
4. /usr/X11R6/bin/mkfontdir /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype/
5. /usr/X11R6/bin/mkfontdir -e /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/encodings
6.修改 /etc/X11/xorg.conf
加入FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype"
9. 修改 /etc/fonts/fonts.conf
加入<dir>/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype</dir>


问题：
1、KDE只有英文版
2、我是用文本级启动的，每次进入gnome都是英文，要进入中文版，要先启动gdm，如何startx直接进入中文gnome
3、使用网络服务器浏览windows机器时，中文显示乱码

locale最好改成zh_CN.gbk。zh_CN就是gb2312，不支持大字符集。增加字体描述最好用ttmkfdir，mkfontdir对于中文字体几乎没什么用处。

mkfontdir并非没有用，而是有顺序的，要先mkfontscale，再mkfontdir。

mkfontscale建立的fonts.scale不准确。例如：winxp里的simsun.ttc，支持的中文编码是gb2312和gbk，mkfontscale建立的fonts.scale竟然生成一个gb18030.2000；而simsun.ttc内嵌的NSimSun根本无法识别。

mkfontscale,mkfontdir生成的文件是因版本的不同而不同，例如9.1里生成的是gb2312.1980，10.0支持到最新的汉字国标gb18030.2000，并非错误，当然，一般都会手动把它改成gbk的。

我的lang.sh ：

export G_BROKEN_FILENAMES=1
