VectorLinux的中文显示支持问题

我喜欢英文界面，但是我又想要中文显示支持

我是不是不用升级Slackware的glibc了，而只是加入中文字体，在相应软件中设置使用中文字体是否就可以支持中文显示了。

对于中文输入法，我只要设置utf的locale就可以了
因为scim支持utf的locale的

没用过vector，但建议试试只安装slackware里面的glibc-i18n这个包，看看行不行

vector在国外论坛的评论是很不错的，特别是对于那些老机的支持上。现在我想找vector soho 4.0版下载。但搜索了好久没找到一个好的镜像点下载到的。

Many parts of the installer were changed/upgraded. Some new features of the installer are as follows:

Keymap setting improved to include more keymaps.
PCMCIA can be activated during install.
Option to run Hardware Autoconfig so it can be skipped for troublesome hardware.
Option to install nVidia drivers if an nVidia card is detected.
Automatically detects ATI IGP laptop chipsets and sets up XFree86 with the modified Radeon driver.
Better monitor detection and setup.
Root password can now be set during install.
Normal user accounts can be created during install.

There are still a few typos in the installer that will be corrected for RC2.

There may be a bug with the Alsa setup during install on some sound cards. If sound doesn't work after install, just rerun "alsaconf" as root to fix it up. This will be addressed for RC2.

Please post all bug reports here in this thread.

RC2 release is tentatively set for Monday April 12th so please be sure to post any bugs found by Friday April 9th at the latest.

SOHO 4.0 is the first release of Vector Linux that includes the work of many volunteers that have joined the development team. A special thanks to all of them as well as the testers for helping to get SOHO 4.0 this far!! A list of all the developers and testers that helped with this release will be included on the final iso.

Lets get all the bugs exterminated in this RC so that RC2 is the final one!
