关于OpenBSD 3.4安装及使用的若干小问题.（恳请新任版主解答）

经不起诱惑，思考了几天，终于还是下了3.4，刻了张盘。但是安装过程中，在解base34.tgz时出现了异常情况，凭记忆，大概是tar无法解开这个包。余下部分一切正常。系统可以正常引导，使用过程中未发现异常情况。
请问：
1、这个包里包含了什么东西？我如何确定它是否已经正确安装在我的系统中？如果没有的话，如何补救？
2、系统root默认的shell为/bin/csh，能否在不更换shell的前提下让它支持命令行补全及回溯功能？
3、ls命令没有-G显示彩色目录选项，除了装gnuls之外，有无它法？

base是系统基本包， 一定要安装的。
i386  / 60M  /usr 250M  /var 25M  /usr/X11R6  140M
如果你系统可以使用应该安装了这个基本包， 不然系统是不能使用的。看能不能使用upgrade升级一下(我没试过， 我安装时基本上没问题)

2.这个问题你要看看csh使用文档了。

3.没有， openbsd是以安全为第一， 任何它认为可能会有漏洞的都会不使用。

现在cnfug.org在翻译openbsd FAQ, 可能过段时间就有得看了。

ok, I'll try to answer you, and hope others to complete ..

1. base34.tgz is the most important, it's your system, and it's a file with tar.gz format, we can easily copy this file from CD to /tmp (suppose it's bigger enough) and do a tar tvfz base34.tgz to verify.

1bis. first try to do a md5 with your base34.tgz and compare it with the official distrib 3.4/i386/MD5
and then you can simple copy this file to /, and do a tar tvfz base34.tgz to see the files inside and xvfz to decompress it to your sys (if you are sure that there were somethins wrong during install). If any there are already some bugs fix for it, then go to openbsd official website, patch your system ... I don't know how to know if it's correctly installed...

here # is the number of command in your history
- to complete or correction
for example:
if i tape with mistake as follows
wghet ftp://foo.bar.com
and i want to do a wget
then for correction should be
^wghet^wget


3. no we don't have -G options (man ls) ! use gnuls / colorls. We can install them from ports at /usr/ports/sysutils/colorls or /usr/ports/misc/filetuils for gnuls

感谢两位OpenBSD高手/专家的帮助。
我看了man csh之后，才发现它的命令行补全用的不是Tab键，而是ESC或者是Ctrl+[，但它们实在没有Tab键方便，不知如何更改？
应用历史命令虽然可以用history+!n来实现，但基本上我的使用习惯是用上光标键重复前几次命令。但这里按了上光标键就出现控制字符，我想大概是跟我选择的终端类型vt220有关，我发现FreeBSD下面用的终端类型是xterm。我不知道在OpenBSD下面还有哪些终端类型，我怎么用上光标键回溯以前的命令？

最后，发一张X11的截图自我欣赏一下。呵呵...

in fact, I was using X on my laptop, but not anymore (I need a larger harddisk to do dualboot with debian), so I use ssh (my server without keyboard,mouse,screen !!! that's true) to connect to it. Yesterday I want to write a mini-howto to configure X windows with Openbsd: find a keyboard,mouse,screen ,hehehe it's cool.

So glad to know that Csh use Esc also (like ksh), Esc-k to repete the command...

We can find kde*.tgz at packages, install them all with pkg_add kde*.tgz, ignore error message, and then create a .xinitrc file with /usr/local/bin/startkde... Welcome to the real world.
