mplayer在firefox下无法播放rmvb格式

在安装了mplayer和mplayerplug-in后，在firefox下可以正常播放*.avi,*.rm等格式，但是*.rmvb格式的却调不出mplayerplug-in进行播放，只有下载了之后才能看，这是怎么回事阿？是mplayerplug-in没有装好吗？mplayer是可以正常播放*.rmvb格式的。
