IBM笔记本R40的无线网卡配置的问题求教！！！

大家好
我是个LINUX新手，新装的FEDORA 5，我的笔记本的intel 2100无线网卡没办法激活，请问谁能告诉我该怎么激活无线网卡呢？最好详细一些因为我刚接触LINUX不旧，多谢大家了

下载+安装  (在没有安装这个固件程序之前fedora会把你的无线卡认成一个有线卡）

#reboot

重启后
#system-config-network   (网卡配置界面）
添加一个无线连接，然后怎么设置你看着办吧，设置完激活。

您给我的下载的是firmware 1.3。2吧？我已经安装好了，但是在网卡配置界面添加无线连接还是没有我的网卡，另外无线网卡还是没有打开。

when i type make in the /root/Desktop/ieee80211-1.1.13 directory,it says the following
[root@localhost ipw2100-1.2.0]# make

ERROR: ieee80211.h not found in '/lib/modules/2.6.15-1.2054_FC5/include'.

You need to install the ieee80211 subsystem from http://ieee80211.sf.net
and point this build to the location where you installed those sources, eg.:

% make IEEE80211_INC=/usr/src/ieee80211/

will look for ieee80211.h in /usr/src/ieee80211/net/

make: *** [check_inc] Error 1

如果你装的是fc5，那么系统自带有无线网卡的驱动，你只要下载一个无线网卡的firmware就可以了，不用装ieee80211还有ipw2100的，

出现这个的原因是你没有安装kernel的开发包，kernel-devel-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5.i586
你可以在fc5安装光盘的 /Fedora/RPMS里面找到它

我的建议：
安装kernel-devel-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5.i586，试着编译安装最新的ieee802111，和ipw2100，以及firmware，如果还不能工作，你只能重新安装系统了
