Ubuntu 5.10 + VirtualPC安装出现kernel panic

可能是什么问题?  以前在VirtualPC上装了Hiweed0.6和0.7b2,
拔了硬盘到另外一台机器上, 启动VirtualPC 后0.7b2也是出现类似
的错误(具体错误信息记不住了), 但是0.6报了个错然后继续执行了.
0.6内核2.6.8, 0.7b2内核2.6.11.

can you cat /proc/cpuinfo of the host, and also in virtual pc running
FC1 if possible ?

My hypothesis is that vpc thinks it can use mwait instructions, and it
can't.  You might also try the idle=poll or idle=halt boot parameters.


用linux idle=poll参数启动, 果然ok.

sigh, 可怜的0.7b2, sorry!

今天我在Virtual PC 5.2H上装 红帽企业版AS4.7
也遇到同样的问题

也是在启动选择F2
启动选项

输入linux idle=poll
启动,顺利启动安装..

后面还出现了一些其他的问题...
再说
