linux下编译的可执行代码可以在cygwin中执行吗

我下载了一个在linux下编译的可执行代码，在cygwin中修改了权限为可以执行rwxrwxrwx，
但是在执行的时候，cygwin提示command not found 请问这是什么原因造成的？

Cygwin is not a way to run native linux apps on Windows. You have to rebuild your application from source if you want to get it running on Windows.
Cygwin is not a way to magically make native Windows apps aware of UNIX ® functionality, like signals, ptys, etc. Again, you need to build your apps from source if you want to take advantage of Cygwin functionality.
