关于grub中splashimage的问题

请问大侠们从grub-0.95源码编译出来的grub能否支持splashimage，是不是需要打个什么补丁呀，小弟现在利用stage2_eltorito以从光盘直接启动grub，但苦于splashimage一点反应都没有，漆黑黑的一片，请求援助！

我看了半天，好像现在的grub都没有splash patch。不知道现在的都怎么弄这个东西的。。
有时间看看gentoo的grub怎么安装的。：）。
