Some newcomer level questions about Gentoo.

1.If I teminate "emerge XXX" process while compiling(eg, Ctrl-C), what should I do to fix it? Just run this process again?
2.What is Binary pkg indeed? I havent seen it yet, What should you set the variable "ORTAGE-BINHOST", Is there any mirror in cernet? I hear about that "you dont need to emerge openoffice", does that mean you install it from binary package or sth else?

As far as I know, there isn't any BINHOST (mirrors that are supposed to hold binary packages) available yet.  "you dont need to emerge openoffice" means there's a openoffice-bin (which is a binary package) in the portage tree which you can install just like emerge any other packages (from normal mirrors not BINHOST).
