Novell 和Gnome 联合“悬赏”鼓励桌面开发: 高手请进!

Linuxbyte.net 1月8日 报道) Novell和Gnome基金近日联合发布了一项奖金计划旨在奖励解决了桌面软件问题的个人和团体组织. 这次“悬赏”活动一共列出了八大类桌面领域的难题，Novell和Gnome并制定了各个难题的任务课题. 这八大类领域分别是：地址簿，日历，文档，即时聊天软件，邮件，OpenOffice.org，任务栏和其他杂项. 奖金范围则从100美元到2500美元不等.

同时，该奖金计划还要求参与者必须达到10条要求, 其主要要求则为上交的作品一定是开源的,并且在Gnome桌面2.6项目冻结开发之前完成.(点击这里查看Gnome 2.6项目时间表).

这是开放源代码业界中首次有公司将具体软件开发任务以悬红的形式对外发布, Novell和Gnome均希望这样能够集思广益并在较低成本消耗的情况下得到最大的研发能力. 效果不得而知，不过目前据说报名人数众多，网友反应热烈，而且已经有两个100美元和２00美元的项目被拿下了.
