Creative SB Live Value Problem!:help

Creative SB Live Value Sound Card, chip EMU10K1X is not support by Fedora core 1. What should I do to make the sound card available? I've installed the alsa-driver v0.9.8, but it still does not have this chip's driver. Anyone can help?

I run 'alsaconf' to install the driver for SB Live sound card, but at the end, I got error message:

From the ALSA project website, the SB Live also uses EMU10K1 module, but why my card is EMU10K1X? Can I use EMU10k1 module or not?

This is because when alsa rpms are installed, there is no a script called 'alsasound' put into /etc/init.d but 'alsaconf' command tries to locate this script. The script put there is called 'alsactl', so when changing this script to 'alsasound'. The alsaconf can pass.

The rest of the error message still remain!

这个声卡在Fedora是支持的。

根本就没有必要安装alsa啊。

The problem is Fedora does not support EMU10K1X which I detected from running 'sndconfig'. It said it detect my sound card but the system does not support it. Then I turn to look at ALSA and see if ALSA driver would support my card. Another problem of ALSA is all the SB Live cards use EMU10K1 module and there is no one for EMU10K1X, that is why 'alsaconf' also has problem. I am really out of idea now.

南北兄说了之后我又检查了一遍kernel的配置,是支持soundcard的.看来我的声卡chip可能fedora真的不能支持了.

若是那种Dell的数码版，是不能被支持的（官方的Liveware驱动包也不支持这个版本的卡）

我用的就是Dell的机器.是Dell的SB Live.EMU10K1X chip set. 看来是不能支持了.
