archlinux不支持squashfs2.1以前的版本了？［已解决］

今天突然想到要用tex了，就试了一下以前下的tex4lin.iso，由于该镜像里的文件是以squashfs格式压缩的，所以我就
mount -t auto -o loop texlive.squashfs /usr/local/texlive/，
结果出现错误说：
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/loop1,
       missing codepage or helper program, or other error
       In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so

dmesg | tail 后看到一条：
SQUASHFS error: Major/Minor mismatch, older Squashfs 2.1 filesystems are unsupported
难道archlinux不支持squashfs2.1以前的版本了？google了下，说是要打什么内核补丁的样子，我也没仔细看，其实是我不知道怎样编译内核，也懒得去看。难道就没有什么别的办法了么？如有知情者请告知，谢谢。
