Fedora 10 Codenamed "Cambridge"

Cambridge was the Red Hat project that went on to form Fedora Core and it was the release name for Fedora Core 1. Now with Fedora 10, Red Hat has gone full-circle and its codename is Cambridge. This codename was voted on by Fedora contributors and among the other contenders were Farnsworth, Nitrate, Saltpetre, Terror, and Whiskey Run.

The first alpha release of Fedora 10 "Cambridge" is planned for next Tuesday (August 5) while the final release is planned for October 28. Some of the planned features for Fedora 10 can be found on the Fedora Wiki. The Fedora 10 codename was announced tonight on the fedora-announce mailing list. 看了 linuxtoy 的介绍，觉得 Cambridge 这个词的含义真是丰富，竟然可以和 fedora core 1 关联起来。当年为什么不用那个名字，难道是过了这几年，法律问题终于解决了？
