你去compiz官方看一下，有详细的配置指南，

可能是你没有修改xorg.conf的相关选项，（我记得要修改xorg.conf打开xgl）

我也用compiz，不过最近很少使用，

装好以后使用compiz --replace命令打开或者在桌面建一个Launcher来执行这个命令。

不要把这个命令加到开机的sessions里面，升级xorg时很能倒置问题。

用ubuntu的话启动compiz非常方便。我觉得桌面应用方面ubuntu非常好用

安装gl运行库并修改xorg.conf
然后再安装metacity窗口管理器sudo apt-get install metacity
最后restart x,然后运心compiz --replace&.
不出意外应该就可以了

或者把
export WINDOW_MANAGER=/usr/bin/compi
加到 ~/.gnomerc 里面
