winxp远程控制linux 部分服务的问题求助

我先把环境说一下：
其实就是一个机房，用于教学用
server:   RHEL4，配置iptables、DHCP，使局域网共享上网
client:  win2000  自动获取ip上网
在client中，选一台机器作为教师机(winxp)

问题：

因为具体启动、停止共享网络的操作，是由教师来控制的，他们不大可能对iptables/DHCP从命令行里进行控制
所以
1.要从教师机(winxp)控制server(RHEL4)
1.要图形化的
2.最好能将服务的启动、停止做成一个链接图标形式的。最好能像sysgate那样就点启动、停止就可以了

对于xming/xlaunch
我也下载了并安装执行了，有点疑问
我的xming也启动了，任务栏托盘有xming的图标
然后，我执行xlaunch，按照网上的一些教程执行
但最后没有看到图形界面呀
不知道为什么？是我设置的问题吗

对于Webmin
今天太晚了，明天有时间再试一下，然后有结果再向大家汇报吧

我的系统是RHEL4的，我没有找到 /usr/share/gdm/defaults.conf
搜索了一下，在我的机器里与你所说的对应的可能为：
/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf

不知道对不对
