安装nVidia驱动出错,请帮下

才开始用Linux,啥子都不会,跟到论坛上的帖子把内核升级到了2.6.17.13
发现不能进Xwindow,说  Failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module
可能是nv驱动的问题
但是重装nv驱动(那个NVIDIA*pkg1.run)时候,又说要disable rivafd support
但是lsmod里面又没有rivafd,用modprobe -fr rivafb也说not found
请问2.6里面要怎么才能装nv的驱动?
还是必须要重新编译内核?

发现了,原来是内核中的一个nVidia Riva support要作为模块才行.

另要注意的一点，编译 nvidia 驱动的 gcc 版本要跟编译内核的 gcc  版来要相同
