新编译了2.6.18内核，请问如何安装ATI显卡驱动？

已经将/usr/src//linux-2.6.18链接到/usr/src/linux
/usr/src//linux-2.6.18链接到/usr/include,但是创建显卡rpm包时有如下提示，请问应如何解决？
$ ./ati-driver-installer-8.28.8-x86_64.run --buildpkg Fedora/FC5

kernel panic -not syncing:No init found .Try passing init=option to kernel
