i can not turn to the text mode

i can not turn to the text mode if i type ctrl+F1, and the screen turn to black and nothing  come out
what is the problem??

my os is fc4

在你的/etc/inittab文件中加上

c1:2345:respawn:/sbin/agetty 38400 vc/1 linux
c2:2345:respawn:/sbin/agetty 38400 vc/2 linux

i try , but the problem still be there, even i ctrl+alt+backspace , i can not reboot the xwindows, it just black

CTRL+ALT+F1 or  CTRL+ALT+F2,...CTRL+ALT+F6

ALT+F7 to return to GUI
