不能mount vfat 分区, 求助!

借人气问一下.
刚刚用2006.0的stage3安装 gentoo 系统, 内核是 2.6.16
内核配置那里已经把vfat 的支持 设置成 * 而不是 M.
但是运行 mount -t vfat /dev/hda5 /mnt/hda5 的时候出错, 信息如下:

rong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda5
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

请问该如何解决?硬盘没有问题的.在 KNOPPIX下都可以用这个命令 mount 起来.

Yeah, this problem has been resolved. Instead of mount -t vfat, I should use mount -t msdos. But why has this change?
