请教latex绘制表格问题

我想将一表格排版时自动分成 两部分排在两页上，形如附图的样子，我用的代码如下：
\begin{tabular}{lp{8cm}}
maker & This is the name of the font manufacturer.\\
family & This is the name of the font family-for example, .\\
weight & This is normally 'bold', 'medium' or 'light'. Other words may appear here in some font names.\\
slant & This is 'r' (roman), 'i' (italic), 'o' (oblique), 'ri' (reverse italic),or 'ot' (other).\\
\end{tabular}
结果表格排到另一张纸上去了，没有像附图一样在两页当中分开，请教该如何才能达到附图的效果？
