装过几次linux,发现有一次装的arch,退出系统后/dev目录很干净,就区区几个文件

系统启动的时候根据已有的驱动自动创建相应文件,进入系统后最多几十个文件        别的很多系统/dev里面都是一大堆,简直有点恐怖, 象红帽的有几千个设备文件,每次打开该目录,接近死机
是不是用的设备管理器不同的原因?

人家RH要求通用嘛，适合大部分用户，而不同的用户硬件差异又大
但arch和LFS等就不一样了，你面对的是确定的硬件，几十个文件就OK
（个人观点）

偶觉得这和内核版本有关，还有和udev有关。
不太确定，待我以后看看相关资料。

Yes, udev. udev is 2.6.x kernel specific.

Many distros, like Arch, Gentoo and LFS etc, have migrated to udev.  In Debian, udev is rather....

The conventional devfs support will be obsolete and removed from the kernel tree soon, hope that Debian developers will catch up quickly.

debian 里用udev有什么问题么? 我这里用的挺好啊

Haven't tried the latest unstable udev-0.62 (must work with 2.6.12.x kernel), the 0.53 in the testing branch is terrible.  I have my system crashed after restart. Purging it can resume normal.

This is very strange because I don't experience with such problem in other distros.

0.053 ? 啥时候的版本了，不过那会儿问题确实不少。
crash 倒是没有怎么遇到过。

我现在用着还不错，已经是 0.062-4 + 2.6.12-ck3 了
