服务器板子装2005.0，Intel SE7500CW2，分区后无法挂载，着急！谢谢！

第一个问题： 板载的IDE Raid是 promise pdc20267，无法正常驱动，恩，就是即便分组仍旧显示分离的设备名称两块盘仍旧是  hde,hdf，我想分为一组应该显示成为一块才对。

第二个：如果硬盘放到普通IDE口上，可以正常分区，但建立文件系统后，不能挂载，交换区也没法激活，始终显示设备忙或者已经挂载。

着急！服务器最晚周一搬到托管机房，谢谢各位老大给个解决方案。

对了，服务器原本安装的是Gentoo 2004，安装时也是无法驱动IDE Raid，但是普通IDE安装正常。这次是想备份后做个新的2005安装的。

这个东西没有什么用处。和soft raid没有什么区别，你想用的话，就去看gentoo论坛里边的那个教程，需要特别的livecd。

谢谢！那个Raid确实用处不大，但用来做Raid 1还是能稍稍多一点安全度的。

now   I give up livecd and use knoppix which works pretty smothly

这个应该是你的IDE里边的IDE raid没有关闭造成的结果。如果你想用RAID1，就用softraid，性能不会有什么损失的。
另外，你用knoppix，可以识别IDE－Raid？

Gentoo 2005.0 Live CD, I already disabled the IDE Raid. The live cd still can't work. Quite strange problem, I can do fdisk, mkfs, but not mount.

Knoppix 3.9. it can recognize and drive the IDE-Raid. But I did not try whether IDE-Raid really worked. So I am not quite sure.

I am now working on the server, so can't type in Chinese. Sorry.
