怎样使slackware10.1支持NPTL呢？

我手头上的server是slackware10.1，现在迫切要使用NPTL（为了在上面跑的JAVA应用的性能）。机器的相关资料如下：

我应该怎样配置才能使slackware支持NPTL呢？升级glibc？升级内核？

最简单的办法是升级到Current

current的 glibc是支持NPTL的了。2.3.5-i486-2

如果升级到current的话，够不够稳定啊？
我们是要做服务器应用的，而且是关键应用，不知道会不会影响到稳定性。
不过服务器的应用很单一，都是用tomcat做app server而已。

另外，升级到current的意思是指：将内核和glibc都升级到current？还是只将glibc升级到current啊？不好意思，我是slackware的新手，问的问题有点白痴

应该比较稳定，kernel必须是2.6，这个fei比较有发言权。

偶升级到current了，我是从10 10.1 用swaret一路升级上来的。
感觉还成，至少还没当掉。
你们说的那些东东偶都不懂。
只是升级上来了。

很稳定的--slackware的current比别的稳定版还要稳定。我跑slackware 10.1升到current---内核是自己编的2.4.31和2.6.12都跑的很好的。

最好把整个current的包都down下来,然后做成安装光盘使用,光升级glibc和内核没用
