gcc那个版本好啊？

大家都用什么版本的 gcc啊？
我自己编译gthumb，启动它说出错，会不会跟gcc有关？？？
还有apt-get升级了gcc3.4，怎么gcc -v还是原来的版本

不过还没有用，系统才装完不久。

gcc的版本并不是越高越好，要编译一个软件可以看看它对gcc的版本有什么要求。你安装了gcc-3.4但是并不一定你的系统的gcc命令就是3.4的，我的debian里就有3.3和3.4两个版本，默认的是3.3。如果一个软件要求用某个版本的gcc编译，那么你在configure的时候指定一下。比如如果要求用3.4版本的gcc编译可以用：

1. ./configure CC=gcc-3.4

gthumb不用自己编译，debian的官方包里就有，下载一个就行了。

It seems gcc-4.0 is no much better than gcc-3.4.  Both of them breaks many programs and are less compatible with many systems unless you build your own system with gcc-3.4 in the very begining.  Have a look at the LFS or Gentoo page, you can find many gurus encounter with problems with gcc-3.4 and gcc-4.0.

I would rather stay with gcc-3.3 for a while.
