要退出 X  安装

请问如何退出 X ？
退出 X  后用什么命令运行  NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1.run  ？

It depends on your window manager or X environment.  Try Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to kill X.

1.  If you have a text console, then you may continue.
2.  If you return to a graphical login screen, then most likely your system is running xdm or kdm or gdm.
2.1  In this case, you should Ctrl+Alt+F2 (or Ctrl+Alt+F3...), login in the text console and then kill the PID of xdm or kdm or gdm.
2.2  Press Alt-F7 to return to your previous X screen.
2.3  Press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to kill X, make sure no X applications are running before proceed

1. Become root
2. cd to the directory where your NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1.run resides, and then type:
./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1.run

Please note, you may need the kernel header and gcc to compile the drivers.  After finish, modify your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 or /etc/X11/xorg.conf to define the nvidia driver.
